My birthplace (and second home) of Brooklyn, my hometown of Garden City, my sometimes haunt in Sag Harbor suffered a devastating blow in 2001... Things will never be the same... Not ever.... The thousands people who were martyred, the animals who were lost despite the heroic efforts of rescuers, the NYPD, NYFD, EMT's, clergy, countless good Samaritans, search and rescue dogs, teachers who shielded their students, strangers helping each other through the worst possible nightmare are all heroes... Forgive me if I left anyone out, they each deserve a heartfelt 'Thank You'...
I don't own a tin foil hat, nor am I flighty, naive or stupid... I know
what I know... But, at 61 it behooves me to sit at the back of the
theater, observe and enjoy the dance, and for once in my life keep my
opinions to myself! The controversial bits I will choose to ignore, or
at least refrain from editorializing on any longer... Ballet and opera
are quite soothing to me on days like this... I hope you find what is
soothing to you... There is no place like New York, there is no place
like home..... ~MEA~
